Start by opening the package and laying out the parts. In this and the next few images I identify the parts supplied in the Henry Cooke kit. One of the first things you should do is decide which you prefer to be the "right" side of the fabric. The right side is the side you want to be on the outside when the garment is worn. The Kochan-Phillps wool is very well fulled, and has a finish that is almost identical on both sides. Many fabrics have a finish that is noticably different from one side to the other. It can be confusing when you are working with similar parts and mirror images. Decide which side you want outside, and stick with it!
